Our two Heaton girls (Petra and Caitlin) played a brilliant tournament throughout, and the number 3 and 4 seeds were destined to reach the bronze medal match. In a thrilling back and forth 5 setter, Petra emerged victorious, claiming the bronze medal from her friend and training partner Caitlin (11-6, 11-8, 10-12, 7-11, 11-5). The girls wonderful tournament performances, moved them into top place on the team rankings, and they will be returning to Christchurch sharing a gold medal and team cup honours. What absolute stars!
